Open Companies Dashboard

The Open Companies list is one of many internal tools that give ADP associates visibility into a client’s status. I led research leading to a new dashboard intended to make it easier to spot clients missing key updates.

Some of our users’ responsibilities include monitoring multiple clients in a book of business to identify any that are missing necessary documentation (open companies). Our goal was to create a tool to identify and resolve these issues.

I led discovery research to identify pain points with the current system. Later, I conducted usability tests to validate the design of an Open Companies dashboard.

I interviewed multiple ADP associates whose responsibilities involved monitoring the list of open companies to discover the full context of when and how they needed that information, and what difficulties they encountered in finding it.

My team used the findings from the discovery research to design a dashboard that would make it easy to find open companies and work to resolve the issues. I conducted a series of usability tests to validate the design and make recommendations for improvement.
